I have a Marriage License for Francis Herman Schluk (Schluik) (?) and Delia M. Felger dated August 24, 1891. State of Indiana, Allen County.
    Any connection?

    Hi,
Just happened to see your blog and thought I should give you some information. The Fort Wayne Library has a genealogy of the first Beery(Bieri) to come to this country from Switzerland in the early 1700’s.
A Steele history also exists (they arrived in this country in the early 1700’s from the Palitanate area. Offspring of those pioneers settled in Adams Co. Indiana. My Adams Co. born mother was a Beery and her mother was a Steele.
    Best regards,
    Reg Skiles

Reginald–I believe we are cousins of a sort. Was your mother Mabel, the daughter of Reuben Beery and Margaret Steele? If so, her older brother Harvey was my maternal great-grandfather.

Hi, I’m a Mowery looking for a Jacob Mowery (1) born about 1799 married Catherin Burket. Their son Jacob Mowery (2) married Anna Hunsaker. Jacob and Anna had a son Jacob Mowery (3) who married Susanna Bright. My Ancestor is Abraham Mowery born 1860 in Ohio, brother of Jacob (3) and son of Jacob (2). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,
    Kate

    Hi Kate–

I’m going to have to do some looking, but I would be really surprised if there isn’t a connection. My GGGrandmother Nancy Mowery was born in Ohio in 1850 and married Joshua Bright.

Do you know which county in Ohio?

    Hi IndianaJane,
Have you found any connections to my Jacob Mowery and Catherine Burket? (See May 2, 2007) I’m looking for their parents. Supposedly they came from PA and got married about 1822 in OH. They were both born circa 1799-1802. The family mostly lived in Logan, OH (Hocking County).

    Hello
I am still looking for Pracht information. Can you tell me which line you are from?
Right now I find 3 lines that I cannot connect.

    One line has Maximillian Pracht
One Line has George Christian Pracht
and my line which I have traced back to 1600. My question is where George Christian Pracht and my family might connect.
